General Structural Engineer position at PTAC Engineering. Locations:
Pensacola, FL and Daphne, AL. PTAC Engineering has been a leading specialty-engineering firm in the precast/prestressed concrete industry since 1991. The principals bring 75 years of combined experience in design and detailing of precast-prestressed concrete structures. Eligibility: PTAC Engineering is unable to sponsor visas at this time. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.

• Lead the Engineer of Record efforts primarily for precast/prestressed concrete structures and other miscellaneous materials.
• Lead design and drafting efforts, permitting, lateral analysis, foundation design, concrete, structural steel and masonry design, and associated project management.
• Coordinate with drafting, engineering, and BIM departments; facilitate external coordination with design team and owners.
• Contribute to design reviews, preparation of specifications, and construction administration including review of submittals and RFIs.

• Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE License required; SE License preferred.

• 6+ years of Structural Engineering experience, including foundation design.

• MS Office
• MathCAD
• Structural Analysis or Finite Element Analysis Software (RISA 3D preferred)
• Risa Foundations or CSI SAFE preferred
• 3D modeling software (Revit preferred)

• Independently complete design of structures and lateral systems.
• Prepare specifications and coordinate drafting and permitting efforts.
• Coordinate with external teams and internal drafting, engineering, and BIM departments.
• Support construction administration activities including review of submittals and RFIs.
