CAD Draughtsman

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Draughtsman for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role involves working on innovative projects in a hybrid work environment, combining office-based work in Biggin Hill with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Understanding of design and engineering principles.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
• Organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks.

• Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and 3D CAD software.
• Collaborate with project leads to interpret design requirements and ensure project goals are met.
• Integrate current and new drawings into a cohesive design framework.
• Review and verify drawings for completeness and adherence to standards.
• Assist in resolving design discrepancies by proposing solutions and incorporating feedback.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI) and technical drawing conventions.
• Experience with 3D modelling or rendering for visualisation purposes.
• Adaptability to learn new CAD tools or workflows as needed.

The role offers a hybrid work model, with office-based duties in Biggin Hill and the flexibility to work from home two days per week. The initial contract is for six months, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance. You will work closely with experienced project leaders and a supportive team in a fast-paced and innovative setting.
