The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), within the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering is comprised of twenty‑one full‑time faculty. We provide students with a well‑rounded, personalized education in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management; with an emphasis on producing baccalaureate students who are fully prepared for professional practice upon graduation. The Department offers bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering, environmental engineering, project management, and construction management.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), in the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) invites applications for a Part Time Faculty position in the Construction Management (CM) Program. We seek candidates who have a passion for teaching along with relevant education and industry experience. The primary duties will be in‑person, remote, or hybrid classroom teaching of undergraduate courses which may include disciplinary areas of construction management, civil engineering, architecture or related fields.

• Teaching undergraduate level courses, delivering exams, supervising students, and grading student work.

The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. The intent of the pool is to provide opportunities to our industry partners and community professionals to serve as NAU instructors of record as their skills and experience align with the needs of the college and its students. The number of positions will vary from semester to semester, by department, are temporary, and these opportunities may arise on short notice.

The pool will remain in place for one academic year (August‑May). • M.S. in construction management, architecture business administration or civil engineering, or
• B.S. in construction management, architecture, civil engineering and 5+ years of engineering or construction management experience

* A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Qualifications.

• Demonstrated evidence of teaching effectiveness.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Ph.D. or EdD.
• Registered Professional Engineering (P.E.) or other Professional Certifications.

• Advanced knowledge in Construction Management or related areas.
• Effective teaching ability at undergraduate levels.
• Curriculum development.
• Capacity to inspire students.
• Ability to manage undergraduate students.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively highly technical content to a diverse audience.

Anticipated compensation is $2,000 per credit unit or $6,000 per three‑credit course. Commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
