- Prepare for field assignments using project plan information and formulate daily project plans with customer field supervisors
- Provide on-site customer training on safety and test procedures for optimal cable diagnostics
- Direct power distribution customers and contractors on-site, ensuring proper execution of tests
- Troubleshoot and repair diagnostic equipment, including analog and digital circuitry and computer subsystems
- Maintain positive customer relationships and oversee the performance of advanced diagnostics for underground power cables
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in power utilities field service
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals and systems
- Understanding of analog and digital signal processing theory
- Experience testing low-voltage and high-voltage power systems is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent
- Experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment and systems
- Familiarity with partial discharge principles and field assessment techniques
- Previous experience with mobile diagnostic units
- Ability to provide shadow training to other field associates
