About Heritage Civil WorksAt Heritage Civil Works, we design the invisible forces that shape the visible world.
We are a leading engineering firm that specializes in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling, physical simulation, and custom test hardware. We support high-performance industries like pollution control, aerospace, biotechnology, and power generation industries where systems must not only function but excel under pressure.
We’re expanding our remote team and are excited to bring on a Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about designing systems that work with precision, purpose, and real‑world impact.
What You’ll Be DoingAs our Remote Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, simulate, and refine mechanical systems for complex engineering challenges. Your designs will influence everything from energy systems to aerospace prototypes.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Designing and developing mechanical systems and components tailored to client specifications
- Creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation
- Performing thermal, structural, and fluid flow analysis to validate designs
- Collaborating with CFD specialists, electrical engineers, and test engineers to ensure system integrity
- Integrating feedback from physical testing and simulations into design revisions
- Supporting the development of custom test hardware used in fluid and thermal experiments
- Ensuring all designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Participating in virtual design reviews and cross-team brainstorming sessions
- Staying current on new tools, trends, and materials that could optimize system performance
You’re a solution-driven engineer who loves turning theory into functional, reliable systems. You’re deeply curious, detail-oriented, and love working in collaborative (but remote!) environments.
We are looking for someone with- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 35+ years of hands‑on mechanical design experience (remote experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Solid Works, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Familiarity with FEA, CFD, or simulation tools to validate performance
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems
- Clear communicator who can explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating asynchronously
- Exposure to industries like power, biotech, or aerospace
- Background working with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, fluid systems, software)
We want the best people and we know that takes more than just a paycheck.
- 100% Remote Work – Work from anywhere, flexible hours
- Health Insurance – Comprehensive coverage for you and peace of mind for your family
- Career Growth – Room to innovate, lead, and develop professionally
- Collaborative Team – Work with top-tier engineers and researchers who genuinely love what they do
- Mentorship & Learning – Access to learning opportunities and team knowledge sharing
Let us Build Systems That Work Together.
At Heritage Civil Works, we don’t just design we create lasting solutions. If you’re ready to put your skills to work on meaningful engineering challenges from anywhere in the world, this is your chance.
