Are you a hands‑on EHS leader who loves improving safety culture, solving real problems on the plant floor, and making a visible impact across multiple manufacturing sites? This role gives you the chance to do exactly that, while partnering with strong leaders and shaping EHS performance across a diverse regional footprint.
About the Role
Sealed Air is looking for an experienced EHS Regional Manager located in Ohio to support multiple manufacturing sites across the Ohio/Midwest region. You’ll be the go‑to safety expert for 6–8 plants, coaching site teams, driving OSHA compliance, conducting audits, and rolling out practical, effective programs that reduce injuries and improve day‑to‑day operations.
You’ll work closely with the North America Lead EHS Manager, regional EHS leadership, and plant teams. You will be building strong relationships from the shop floor to senior leadership. This is a primarily remote role with regular travel (50%) (typically 2–3 day trips).
We’re looking for someone who thrives in real‑world manufacturing environments, understands machine safety, and knows how to turn safety standards into actions that stick.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the regional EHS partner for 6–8 manufacturing sites in APS, Liquibox, and Food Care.
- Build and strengthen a Zero Harm Safety Culture by coaching plant leaders, operators, and EHS coordinators.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and compliance audits; identify risks and drive corrective actions.
- Lead or support incident and injury investigations—including serious events—using strong root‑cause methodology.
- Improve programs in key OSHA areas: LOTO, machine safety, fall protection, confined space, and more.
- Deliver training and develop practical, easy‑to‑use safety tools that support everyday operations.
- Partner with engineering and plant leadership during new equipment installs or capital projects.
- Support basic environmental compliance needs (air/water/waste) with guidance from corporate EHS.
- Use data, KPIs, and follow‑up to ensure accountability and continuous improvement across all locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 6–8+ years of EHS/safety leadership in medium‑to‑heavy manufacturing.
- Strong hands‑on familiarity with machine safety, guarding, LOTO, and operator‑equipment interaction.
- Experience supporting multiple plants with audits, investigations, and program development.
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA and core regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills — you can connect with operators, supervisors, and senior leaders alike.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, mostly within Ohio and surrounding states (potentially Mexico as well).
(Ohio residency strongly preferred.)
Why This Role Matters:
You’ll directly influence the safety and well‑being of hundreds of employees, strengthen plant reliability, prevent injuries, and ensure compliance across a high‑visibility region. Your work protects people, facilities, and business continuity—while shaping a culture of safety that lasts.
Why Join Sealed Air:
- Competitive pay and strong benefits
- Supportive EHS leadership team
- Meaningful autonomy in a regional, multi‑site role
- Chance to make a visible impact…
