Associate Civil Transportation Engineer – InfrastructureOur Parsons Seattle office is now hiring for an Associate Civil Transportation Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to primarily support WSDOT projects and works on various projects with the regional transportation planning agencies, counties, cities, and transit agencies in the State of Washington. In this role you will have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by experience Civil Engineer with our office.
This role allows for some hybrid remote work (meaning ability to work from home 1-2 days per week). This position is open to new or recent graduates with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity.
Utilize drafting and 3D modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects.
Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Provide input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
Perform basic geometric design alignments for road and highway projects
Design of ramps, highways, and interchanges as knowledge grows
Utilize Microstation and Autocad for design work
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) is required
0-2 years of experience with roadway design engineering
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
Prior internships in road and highway design or transportation are a plus, but not required
Soe training with AutoCAD Civil3D, or Micro Station is helpful
The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team.
Solid aptitude for leaning more advanced design engineering skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Willingness to work in an office team environment

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
