What Your Day Will Look Like
As a senior bridge design engineer, you’ll provide technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, improvement, and construction infrastructure projects. You’ll assist with research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of load‑bearing structures such as bridges, signs, walls, and transportation facilities. The bridge design engineer reports to the design manager.
What You’ll Do- Provide technical support on a variety of bridge projects.
- Lead successful delivery of high‑quality projects within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborate with others and lead transportation and bridge teams in all aspects of bridge analysis and design, from conceptual planning and preliminary design to final design and construction.
- Identify, devise, and deliver creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of transportation engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in Micro Station, AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.
- Hybrid work: office and field environments with standard equipment. May require occasional exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and water bodies.
- Physical demands include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. Optional company vehicle operation and lifting up to 35 lbs.
