Join a dynamic Operations Engineering team that brings together Applications Engineers, Project Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to manage the full lifecycle of engineering activities. • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers in the design and execution of material handling systems.
• Contribute directly to project deliverables while validating and coordinating the work of others.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure designs align with standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
• Partner with Project Engineers and Project Managers to effectively resource projects and forecast team capacity.
• Identify and implement improvements to engineering tools, processes, and workflows.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to drive continuous improvement in standard practices and automation.
• Manage day-to-day team performance, workload distribution, and maintain positive working relationships across engineering, project management, fabrication, and client teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD Systems (Inventor, Solid Works, PTC CREO), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough knowledge of team processes, drafting, and design standards.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to track progress, ensure quality, and close gaps.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills.

• Experience in steel manufacturing, conveyor systems, material handling systems, and packaging systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about continuous improvement and contributing to the development of engineering processes.
• Commitment to professional integrity.

Open to remote or hybrid candidates. Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting with interaction with team members and clients in both remote and on-site locations. Occasional site visits to fabrication shops or project locations and periodic evening or weekend work as project schedules demand.

This is a Permanent position based out of Topeka, KS.

The pay range for this position is $97,500.00 - $/yr.
