This role is a hybrid position. Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in‑office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Boston office locations.
What You’ll Do- Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business and technology reviews, RFQs, and roadmap/strategy discussions.
- Craft comprehensive commodity and business strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency and driving down costs through strategic initiatives.
- Lead executive business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish commodity strategic direction by working with our technical teams to understand technical and business requirements that provide a competitive advantage and position us for profitable growth.
- Build robust supply chains based on product requirements and needs at the most basic levels to ensure a complete understanding of the Sonos supply chain.
- Ensure continuity of supply and set up long‑term/short‑term capacity planning with suppliers, partnering with Operations and Material teams to schedule supply to meet component demand.
- Collaborate with Product Design and Engineering teams to review initial specifications of parts/modules and recommend sources to influence technical decisions in the early phase of programs.
- Manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Evaluate technical and business risks, analyze data, and create mitigation plans or alternatives.
- Support management of development builds, materials, and risks to enable a successful ramp‑up in the NPI stage.
- BS degree with strong technical acumen and business understanding.
- 8+ years work experience in sourcing related field.
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail‑oriented thinking.

- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving.

- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering preferred.
- Travel within US and internationally up to 15% of the time.
- Experience in consumer electronics industry.
- Established relationships with suppliers and supply chains.
- General understanding of semiconductor supply chains, manufacturing processes, and silicon platform development.
- Experience with systems such as Arena, Microstrategy, Tableau, SAP.
- Hands‑on experience in any of the following:
Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor markets, Pricing strategy for electrical parts.

Compensation: The base pay range for this role based on geographic location is $133,000 – $166,800. The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, and experience. Employees in high‑cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low‑cost markets may be at the lower end.
