Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers) – Jacobs
Location: United States (remote anywhere)
Base pay range: $ – $ per year
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Structural Engineer within the Advanced Manufacturing team, you will work on a variety of data‑center projects—including new builds, retrofits, and colocations—contributing to design, analysis, and project delivery while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the globe.
- Perform structural analysis and develop computer models for structures.
- Conduct calculations for member and foundation design, material take‑offs for estimating, and miscellaneous calculations.
- Assist with project schedules, cost estimates, and coordinate designs with internal design departments and other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
- Lead technical initiatives and grow into a leadership role within the organization.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer, with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D) and structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD).
- In-depth knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other applicable design codes and building codes.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Teams for remote coordination.
- Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time to client sites.
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects such as casting and rolling operations.
- Ability to lead teams and deliver on schedule, budget, and client expectations.
