Principal Engineer - Fire Engineering

As a Principal Fire Engineer you’ll handle a portfolio of projects ranging from a university in Scotland to high‑rise residential towers in London, as well as numerous international assignments. Your work will enable innovative architectural design while ensuring the building’s fire safety meets the highest standards.

• Review design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present design proposals to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Advise the design team on changes that can enhance building safety.
• Participate in client updates, team briefings and social events.

In addition to day‑to‑day work, the successful candidate will receive support to achieve professional registration through IFE and other professional bodies.

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with in the fire‑engineering consulting industry.
• Role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
