Project Engineer - Solid Waste Engineering

At Jones Edmunds, we help communities thrive through innovative engineering and consulting solutions. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our Solid Waste Engineering team.

• Lead and support the design and permitting of solid waste projects, including landfill cells, closures, and leachate collection, treatment, and disposal systems.
• Develop and review gas collection systems, groundwater monitoring networks, stormwater controls, and other facility infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering studies, reports, drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction support, including submittal reviews, field observations, and construction quality assurance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet scope, schedule, and budget goals.
• Review and guide the work of Engineers and Engineer Interns to maintain accuracy and consistency across all project phases.
• Participate in the Jones Edmunds Quality Program, ensuring all deliverables meet company, industry, and client standards.
• Engage directly with clients, providing technical expertise and consultative value throughout the project lifecycle.

• Education:
  
  BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Registration:
  Florida Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 8 years of progressive consulting or related professional experience (MS may substitute for 1 year; PhD for 2 years).
• Other:
  Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
