Overview

Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. (Columbia, MD) is seeking an Application Engineer:
Perform as the subject-matter expert and leading technical consultant for wireless protocol testing supporting customer R&D labs.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert and leading technical consultant for wireless protocol testing to support customer R&D labs.

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the job offered or related occupation, including 7 years’ experience in Python and object-oriented programming.
• 7 years’ experience working with mobile communications protocols, including 5G , LTE – Physical Layer, Layer 2, RRC, NAS.
• 7 years’ experience utilizing data-centric protocols, including TCP/IP, SIP/SDP, RTP, RTCP.
• 7 years’ experience working with test equipment including radio communications testers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Remote work permitted from anywhere in the U.S.; travel required at 15% of the time on domestic and international trips lasting 1-2 weeks.
• Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience. Experience may be gained concurrently.
