• Accept projects with defined due dates based on availability and employer needs
• Perform comprehensive searches to locate relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
• Prepare written opinions applying relevant prior art to patent disclosures
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and technical publication resources
• Ensure compliance with the employer’s Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
• 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
• Must pass USPTO Background check
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

• Previous patent examining or patent searching experience
• Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
• Master’s degree or PhD is a plus
