Project Manager - Mission Critical (REMOTE)
Base pay range: $88,300.00/yr - $/yr
Stantec is seeking a Project Manager focusing on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. You will work on Data Center projects of various sizes across the country. The Mission Critical space requires a proactive, responsive, and efficient design team with projects serving Fortune 10 companies. You will work directly with clients to implement and manage project design and construction administration, be responsible for project management, development of project team members, and support and manage civil site design services of private data center projects.
This position will coordinate and lead project teams focused on engineering and construction related services.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to undertake site development projects related to planning, design and engineering. Client types include private developers, general contractors, and architects.
- Be a motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, organized individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong interest in the Mission Critical / Data Center market and major commercial projects.
- Act as a responsive partner with excellent communication skills.
- Be proactive, solution-oriented, and work well within a cooperative team environment.
- Be flexible and able to adapt to dynamic project needs on tight timelines and fast-paced schedules.
- Coordinate and perform duties with virtual coordination as the team is spread across geographies.
- Understand civil engineering concepts (e.g., site layout, grading, utility design) and communicate ideas effectively.
- Manage and lead technical work depending on project scope/size, and oversee large, high-complexity projects.
- Liaise with clients and sub-consultants to ensure needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants.
- Review, markup, and coordinate documentation across project phases including site plans, utility plans, grading plans, stormwater systems, and other components.
- Participate and collaborate in project teams, engaging in creative and critical thought.
- Understand the land development process and communicate ideas clearly.
- Assist the design team in creating sketches, diagrams, and other visual formats; assist with proposal development, interviews, and presentations.
- Market and support client growth throughout North America.
- Utilize technologies to develop three-dimensional models of civil systems and provide markups for junior engineers/designers.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and those of peers.
- Assist in developing new standards and processes for the team.
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production.
- Strong knowledge of civil systems concepts, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
- Checks others’ work for accuracy and completeness; manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Participates and collaborates in project team settings and engages in creative and critical thought.
- Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and effective communication of ideas.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills; effective communicator able to lead teams.
- Efficient management of multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Planning, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
Typical office environment with computer work; field work may include exposure to the elements. Pay Transparency and LocationPay ranges are provided for locations as required by law. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles may be bonus eligible. Primary location:
United States | MN | Minneapolis. Other locations include CO, HI, IL, MD, NJ, CA, NY and others.
