Certification & Compliance Engineer (Electrical)
We’re looking for a Certification & Compliance Engineer to join the Engineering Department to contribute to the Certification & Compliance Engineering office activities. The Certification & Compliance Engineer will be in-charge of analyzing international product and system standards (e.g. IEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA, AS, UNI, CEI EN, etc.) on:
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with lithium-ion technology;
Power Converter System (PCS) and Low voltage cabinet;
Power transformer and Medium voltage cabinet;
Auxiliary system as fire fighting and HVAC.Tasks & Duties Analyze and apply international standards (IEC, UL, etc.) ensuring product and system compliance
Develop technical documentation: guidelines, test procedures, analytical reports, application notes
Design, set up, validate, and operate test benches for compliance testing
Select and manage lab instrumentation to ensure testing accuracy
Prepare and maintain detailed technical dossiers
Perform risk assessments and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) studies
Coordinate and collaborate with external laboratories and certification bodies to ensure product and system compliance
Assist Tech Sales in preparing technical documentation for bids, ensuring compliance requirements
Oversee certification activities throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with R&D to ensure product compliance during development
Evaluate fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems for compliance
Promote health and safety practices, follow HSE guidelines, complete required training, and report hazards.
Requirements Master’s degree in Industrial and Information Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
Proven experience with test benches and lab instrumentation
Strong background in electrical engineering, energy systems, and electronics
Familiarity with international product/system certification processes
Solid knowledge of EMC, safety regulations, and grid codes
Ability to interpret technical standards and engage with labs and certifying bodies
Skilled in using measurement instruments
Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
Location:
Hybrid remote (from Italy) and HQ in Milan, Piazzale Lodi / Cosio Valtellino.
Required availability to work in Cosio Valtellino on an as-needed basis.
