Purpose of the role

You’ll enhance the delivery of the world’s most complex and interesting projects through project planning at the highest standards. You’ll devise strategies and tactics to improve delivery, translate knowledge into a logic-linked plan, analyse it with planning software, and help the teams prioritise work using the plan.

Your team

This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy team, focusing on:

• Understanding the real problems of projects
• Implementing the best solutions to those problems
• Developing scalable best practices, tools and technology

Specifically, you’ll be part of our Project Planning Team, led by a planning discipline director.

You must have

• A construction engineering background: You have at least 2+ years of experience on construction projects
• Communication skills: Proficient in written and verbal English with the ability to influence construction teams to adopt best practices
• Leadership capabilities: You proactively lead yourself and others by asking the right questions and challenging assumptions
• Impact: A track record of improving projects and organisations through scalable, repeatable solutions

What kinds of projects would I be working on?

People are exposed to several projects in their first year, including data centres, infrastructure, high tech and complex building projects. Projects are dynamic, hands-on environments designed for those seeking challenge. We document lessons learned and contribute to a knowledge repository and product development.

Who are our clients?

Major owners/operators and main contractors with project values between £1m and £1bn+ globally.

Where would I be working?

You may work from home some weeks, travel to sites, visit clients, or work from the London office. Location depends on the role and life balance.

How does what I do connect with long-term industry impact?

You’ll document new solutions and evolving ones for open-source knowledge, test products in the field, and contribute to rapid iteration and improvement for industry use.
