The Opportunity

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to provide technical design expertise across a diverse range of infrastructure schemes, supporting highways, drainage and external works from early feasibility through to detailed design and delivery. The position will also contribute to the strategic growth of a key business sector with projects ranging from small-scale local improvements through to multi-million-pound developments

Key Responsibilities

Deliver civil engineering design solutions in line with current legislation, council policies and industry best practice.
Design highways, drainage, earthworks and external works for commercial and residential developments.
Prepare designs from appraisal and planning stages through to detailed technical delivery.
Produce and manage technical documentation including drawings and calculations.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and statutory bodies.
Support highway and drainage adoption processes including S278, S38 and S104.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.
Candidate Profile

Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years’ post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of highway and drainage design standards (DMRB, Manual for Streets).
Proven experience delivering infrastructure and external works for commercial and residential developments.
Understanding of earthworks strategies and adoption processes.
Confident in attending design and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Site 3D and Flow (or similar).
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
