Overview

Here at Ansty Park we're looking for experienced Quality Engineers who will support the design, manufacture, and delivery of aerospace products that meet customer, regulatory, and Parker quality requirements by developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems, processes, and tools. The Quality Engineer serves as the primary technical resource for product and process quality, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, driving variation reduction and defect prevention, and supporting AS9100/AS9145 and customer compliance.

They will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure robust qualification, configuration control, and ongoing conformance throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the value stream quality strategy and serve as a key technical interface to customers, supplier quality/management, internal functions, and value stream leaders.
  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements, translate them into effective controls and standards, and ensure internal value streams and external suppliers achieve and sustain zero-defect performance.
  • Govern key business metrics demonstrating compliance to AS9100/AS13100/ISO
    9001, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA), Product and Process audits to industry standards (e.g., ISO
    9001, AS9100/9110/9120, CAA, EASA).
  • Provide quality support to the value stream(s) and ensure containment for concerns with root cause and corrective actions using effective problem resolution methodologies such as 8D.
  • Lead quality performance improvement initiatives internally and externally.
  • Roll out and support the implementation of the Zero Defect program to reduce DPPM.
Essential skills and experience
  • A relevant engineering or technical degree, or an aircraft technician or maintenance engineer qualification with additional education acceptable to the competent authority.
  • Relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry or equivalent.
  • Experience in driving quality performance and a comprehensive understanding of reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of the types of aircraft or components gained through training or on-the-job experience, and familiarity with problem resolution processes (e.g., A3/8D, 5 Why, Cause & Effect, DOE).
  • Proficiency in APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, and Root Cause analysis.
  • Proven experience in Continuous Improvement practices, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • AS/EN/JISQ 9100 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Part 21/Part 145 and AS9100/AS13100.
  • Knowledge and experience in Safety Management Systems (for application in Part 21 environments).
  • Understanding of Calibration systems.
