Technical Director - Fire Engineering

Overview

Technical Director role based in the UK with opportunities to work on a variety of projects from a university in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, including international projects. The role focuses on enabling innovative architectural design while ensuring fire safety in buildings.

• Lead design information reviews and liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
• Inform the design team about changes that could increase building safety.
• Support professional registration toward IFE and other professional organisations.
• Participate in a structured development programme and ongoing professional skills training.

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
