Your role
* Experience in Railway Signalling Testing/Commissioning of any size of Projects. Concepts and Functional Tester IRSE License. Knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook.
* Thorough and detailed knowledge of fundamentals testing requirements.
* Railway Signalling experience especially in Principles of signalling testing of SSI schemes and ideally with conventional free-wired and/or geographical systems. Good knowledge of Railway Group NWR company standards requirements.
* Able to work under pressure during intense periods of commissioning etc.
* Current Driving License. Willing to work flexibly and efficiently in support of the project. Able to contribute to the management team to provide the development and future direction for the testing group.## About you
* Take responsibility for the Principles testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for simple / complex signalling projects, and contribute to the testing on major signalling projects.
* MUST Hold  and MUST Hold IRSE License
- Tester in Charge and Functional Tester IRSE License 1.3.190 / 1.3.170 or have held in the past few years.
* Undertake testing duties within the scope of Certificate of Competency held.
* Identify resource requirements for your projects and competent staff are utilized, ensuring they are briefed regarding their work and responsibilities and that any necessary documentation is completed.
* Encourage and promote the advancement of staff as a route to self development. Deputies for the Senior Testing Engineer (Principles).
* Upward briefing of project principles testing status to manage T&CE and Project team as required. Ensure adherence to the Atkins

* Co-operate with quality, safety, and environmental objectives and contribute where appropriate to Atkins
