Pre-Operations Surveillance Programmes Lead Morson Edge are working on behalf of a major client in the Energy Sector who have a requirement for a Surveillance Programme Engineer to join their periodic testing team on a contract basis. All work is associated with the Nuclear New Build Project in Somerset and offered on a hybrid working schedule. Vacancy Overview The Surveillance programme Engineer (Periodic Testing) will support the Pre-Operations Surveillance Programmes Lead in the delivery of operational documentation and strategy for the delivery of the Periodic Testing Programme.
The successful individual will be required to work with the team producing the periodic testing operations instructions (PTOI's), as well as assist in the shaping and development of the processes required to deliver the Periodic Testing programme in the operational power station. This includes analysis of technical documentation from the designer, such as technical drawings, specifications, and testing instructions. The role also will involve liaising with a wide range of stakeholders from across the wider organisation.
Principal Accountabilities Conduct technical analysis of plant components and equipment. Conduct analysis of technical documentation. Assist in the development of the Surveillance Programme requirements for the operational power station. Conduct scheduling activities for the output of the Periodic Testing Surveillance programme. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline.
Experience of mechanical/electrical/C&I plant systems. Excellent communication skills. Ability to read technical drawings.
Experience of document production Be able to develop and follow procedures. Able to develop work plans and deliver them safely and efficiently. Have experience of working in a project environment.
