Ground Control is seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (11kV) to take a leading role in managing and delivering electrical shutdowns that support safe and efficient tree‑cutting operations across our SSe region.

In this role you will be the technical lead for our electrical provision delivering your own outages while overseeing a small team of subcontract SAPs. You’ll play a key part in ensuring safe high‑quality and compliant delivery of all power isolation activities up to 11kV.

• Plan and deliver your own tree‑cutting power outages and oversee those completed by subcontract SAPs.
• Apply, remove and supervise the application of earths, back feeds and generation where required.
• Lead the electrical provision team ensuring all outages are completed safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
• Support delivery of the wider tree‑cutting outage programme across the region.
• Manage and monitor budgets relating to the electrical provision.
• Champion safety compliance and operational excellence at every stage.

• Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with Field Control under SSe Safety Rules or SAP status with another DNO (training package available to transition to SSe approval within 3 months).
• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of SSe (or other DNO) shutdown processes, rules and regulations.
• A proactive problem‑solver with excellent planning, communication and decision‑making skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
