We are looking for a System Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in Wimborne, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of cutting‑edge aerospace systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and System Safety Assessments (SSA) in accordance with ARP
    4761, MIL-STD-882, and other relevant standards.
  • Ensure all design changes are assessed for safety impact and support classification of modifications.
  • Maintain compliance with CS 25.1309, DEF STAN 00‑56, and other applicable regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on safety‑related issues.
  • Support certification and airworthiness activities, including engagement with regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a System Safety Engineering role or similar.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of SAE ARP
    4754 and ARP
    4761.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
