About The Role
Net Zero Teesside is one of the UK’s most significant decarbonisation projects, set to become a leading carbon capture, utilisation and storage development. This flagship scheme will play a key role in delivering the UK’s net zero ambitions, combining cutting‑edge engineering with large‑scale infrastructure delivery.
We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent with a strong civil engineering background to support the successful delivery of key work packages on this landmark project. As Sub Agent, you will work closely with the Site Agent and wider project team to co‑ordinate and deliver civil engineering works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role that combines site leadership, planning and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing- Supporting the planning and delivery of daily site activities
- Co‑ordinating engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations
- Promoting a strong safety culture across all works
- Monitoring progress and helping to keep works on programme
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring compliance with specifications
- Maintaining quality standards and accurate site records
- Assisting with cost control, reporting and forecasting
- Building positive working relationships with the client and design teams
- A Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Experience working in a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer role on civil engineering projects
- A background in infrastructure, heavy civils, utilities or energy projects
- An understanding of NEC contracts
- An SMSTS and appropriate CSCS card
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and team‑orientated approach
