Electrical & Power Engineers – Mobile Telecoms (Field-Based)

50 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 10-hour days)

About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Electrical & Power Engineers specialising in mobile phone connectivity infrastructure to join our growing team. This is a field-based role working across the UK, supporting and maintaining telecoms power systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
Due to the geographical spread of our projects, we are particularly interested in candidates based in or around Watford, the M4 Corridor, Northamptonshire, the Midlands, Essex, and Hertfordshire. These locations provide optimal access to our key operational areas.
This position is ideal for engineers who are accustomed to working in a travelling role and comfortable operating in varied outdoor and site-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecoms power systems
* Working on mobile network sites across the UK
* Fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and power equipment
* AC/DC power systems installation and upgrades
* Battery systems and rectifier maintenance
* Generator installation and servicing
* Ensuring all work complies with industry safety standards and regulations
* Completing technical documentation and reporting
* Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Requirements
* Proven experience in telecoms power / mobile connectivity environments
* Strong electrical engineering background
* Experience with AC & DC systems
* Knowledge of mobile network infrastructure (4G/5G preferred)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Willingness to travel extensively across the UK
* Ability to work 10-hour days, Monday–Friday
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
Desirable:
ECS/CSCS Card
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
First Aid certification
IPAF / PASMA
Experience working on major UK mobile networks
