To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for a Lighting Team Leader to join our Lighting and Energy Solutions team based in our Birmingham office. This role is to support our road lighting team. We are seeking individuals who have experience with highways lighting and are familiar with all stages of project development, including pricing prospects and delivering projects.
The individual should have experience in leading projects and teams and should be confident in a management capacity. They shall also have the technical knowledge and skills to support the production of bespoke deliverables for projects and guidance documents / initiatives to support the continued development of the wider team, whilst road lighting design experience and understanding of electrical principles are essential in this role.
The individual will support a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations and will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
- Lead projects and teams within the road lighting domain, providing guidance and direction for deliverables and design strategies.
- Support the production of bespoke deliverables for projects and guidance documents to support ongoing team development.
- Engage with clients in major public and private sector organisations and manage project development stages, including pricing prospects and delivery.
- Contribute to continued professional development and mentorship within the Lighting and Energy Solutions team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, compliance with electrical principles, and adherence to relevant standards.
- Achieved IEng/CEng. Those with Eng Tech working towards IEng are also welcomed.
- Experience in leading lighting and/or electrical design development with people management experience.
- Asset management experience.
- Risk awareness in terms of CDM and financial risk with ability to manage or mitigate accordingly.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment and plan work accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, analytical, technical and communication skills.
- Familiar with the relevant British Standards and guidance documents applicable to lighting and electrical works.
- Experience with software packages such as AutoCAD, Lighting Reality, Electrical
OM (or similar) is desirable but not essential.
