💼 Permanent Position
💰 £50k-£70k + Car/Allowance + Excellent Benefits
I’m currently working with a well-established, building services contractor who is looking to appoint a mechanically biased Commissioning Compliance Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an HVAC commissioning or mechanical project background who is looking to step into a more compliance-focused role.
You’ll be working closely with a Senior Commissioning Compliance Manager, gaining exposure to high-profile projects while building your technical and leadership capability.
The Role
This position will see you supporting the mechanical commissioning compliance function across live projects, ensuring systems are delivered, tested and handed over in line with regulatory and client standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting compliance and commissionability reviews across all mechanical systems
* Providing technical support to project teams throughout procurement and construction
* Assisting in developing and tracking commissioning programmes
* Coordinating with the Electrical Compliance Manager to develop power-on schedules and identify E-to-M dependencies
* Reviewing technical documentation including TCPs, testing & commissioning certificates and technical submissions
* Conducting site inspections and identifying non-compliance or risk areas
* Supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), witnessing and system demonstrations
* Witnessing commissioning activities in line with codes of practice and securing client sign-off
* Ensuring integrated systems testing documentation is in place (C&E, power outage testing, Home Office validation etc.)
* Supporting environmental and specialist testing where required
* Collating and reviewing final commissioning and test documentation
Although the role is mechanically biased, you’ll need a working understanding of electrical and public health systems.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Building Services sector
* Background in HVAC commissioning or mechanical project delivery
* Strong understanding of ventilation and hydronic systems
* Knowledge of chilled water, heating, ventilation and public health services
* Familiarity with flushing, cleaning and water treatment processes
* Solid understanding of commissioning procedures, testing and balancing
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
* Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, BSRIA standards and British Standards
Qualifications
* CSCS Blue Card (minimum)
* Building Services qualification (HNC / HND / NVQ or equivalent)
* CSA Grade 3 or 4 desirable
What’s on Offer
* Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
* Company car or car allowance
* 25 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service) + bank holidays
* Private healthcare and life insurance
* Pension with 5.5% employer contribution
* Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption policies
* Flexible holiday scheme
* Travel expenses covered where applicable
