Job Summary

Develop effective engineering project plans, track progress, resolve problems, develop solutions and forecast project and product cost performance. Coordinate with other functional units, identify and address project issues, gather and analyse data to support the development of solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meeting schedule commitments and optimising performance.

Scope of Responsibilities

You act within a small team of peers without direct responsibility for staff. You manage across a functional matrix structure within the Technical Domain, focusing on effective planning and execution of Engineering projects to meet or exceed agreed performance metrics. You are the technical focal point for the project across the business and for customers and airframers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support the IPT in identifying project risk, mitigation actions and contingency plans.
  • Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Track progress of project tasks across multi‑functional engineering teams.
  • Resolve schedule conflicts and develop technical solutions with inputs from technical functional teams, ensuring high quality of technical deliverables.
  • Provide a clear project status internally and to the customer.
  • Track performance against budget.
  • Engage with the customer to present technical solutions and their impact on programme schedule.
  • Collate inputs to generate and maintain customer product specifications and create and maintain coherent work breakdown structures.
  • Manage technical requirements relevant to the project scope through a systems engineering approach and track technical changes.
