Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Cardiff or Newport (hybrid working available)

A progressive civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support its continued growth. The practice is known for delivering high-quality engineering solutions through collaboration, technical excellence and a detail-focused approach.
This opportunity would suit an individual already operating at senior level who is looking to take on greater responsibility while working on a varied portfolio of infrastructure and development projects. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of SAB applications and liaison with local authorities through to full approval
- Section 104 and Section 106 drainage design
- Section 38 and Section 278 highways design
- Delivery of concept and detailed designs including technical calculations, tender and construction packages
- Attendance at client design team and site meetings
- Coordination with statutory bodies, architects, M&E consultants and contractors
- A minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering with a BEng or MEng and progress toward Chartered ICE status
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Excellent practical problem-solving ability
- Sound understanding of civil engineering design principles including experience working to CIRIA C753 (SuDS Manual)
- Working knowledge of PDS Causeway Flow / Micro Drainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to produce clear, accurate technical reports
- High levels of attention to detail and strong organisational skills
