We are seeking a highways maintenance / civil engineering technician who will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of our highways term service contract and ensuring our minor highway maintenance works are delivered professionally. The position will also assist with the ‘project management’ of work streams from customer liaison, minor scheme pricing and development to post completion.

This role will work closely with and support operational managers to ensure the delivery of a range of work types across minor civil engineering, highways and environment including:
- Routine highway maintenance such as gully emptying
- Highway projects such as drainage, footway and minor civil engineering
- Road markings, road studs and high friction surfacing
- Highway improvement and safety schemes

About youWe are looking for you to bring:
- You will ideally have some background and experience in highway maintenance, construction and / or environmental related functions. But don’t worry if you don’t, if you have the attitude we would still be interested in hearing from you.
- You will have a track record of working as part of a varied team, providing a solution-based approach to tasks and problems.
- You will be able to work in a face paced environment and able to prioritise the demands of such a working environment
- With have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and willing to learn
Salary: £24,308 - £36,746 (Career graded role)
