A growing and well-regarded transport planning consultancy is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner to join its expanding team. This opportunity is being advertised by a recruitment partner on behalf of the company.
This role offers an excellent launchpad into Transport Planning within a supportive SME environment, providing structured development, real project exposure, and long-term progression opportunities.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Transport Planners and Civil Engineers, the successful candidate will support planning applications for new and regenerated development sites. Over a 12–18 month graduate programme, they will gain hands-on consultancy experience across multiple live projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel Plans
Supporting site layout, access, and parking design reviews
Interpreting local and national planning policy
Analysing traffic impact using TRICS and modelling software (with support)
Reviewing architect layouts and design standards (including CAD input)
Attending client meetings and site visits with senior colleagues
Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
About You
Degree educated
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical with excellent attention to detail
Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively
Interested in development planning, transport, and sustainable travel
Comfortable working both independently and within a team
