Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for various building service projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design process for building service projects from concept to completion.
Develop detailed electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for design purposes.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certificate is preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Project management experience is a plus.
