You will be part of an Engineering team consisting of 14 people and you will report to the Engineering Manager.

How are you going to make a difference?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising our (international) production processes, with a keen eye for cost savings, efficient productivity and quality. You are the link between R&D developments and production, contributing to solutions for manufacturability and functionality.

You will use your customer-oriented expertise, work closely with colleagues to tackle technical challenges and improve the performance of our machines and production. At Wabtec, you will have the opportunity to independently lead projects, recommend cost price improvements and implement innovative solutions that strengthen our competitive position.

What do we want to know from you?

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with HBO working and thinking level who is ready for adventure! In this position, you will travel 1 to 2 times a quarter to destinations in China or India.

It is nice if you have experience with adjusting and maintaining tools, or if you like to work on cars at home, for example, which shows that you have an affinity with this. Finally, you enjoy working on automation and are fluent in Dutch and English.

What does your typical work day look like?

On a daily basis, you will work on production improvements, optimize workstations, support international colleagues with technical challenges and explain to an operator how to work most efficiently to make optimal use of a machine. You give your feedback on a newly made tool and support in its manufacture. Finally, you will be in contact with the purchasing department and a supplier about, for example, a deviation from newly delivered parts.
