Sales Engineer/Manager – Diesel Generators (Standby & Prime Power)

The company designs and delivers standby and prime power diesel generator solutions for customers who need reliable, correctly specified power - whether for critical resilience, planned outages, or continuous operation. This Solutions Engineer role focuses on technical support and problem-solving: speaking with customers, understanding site requirements, and helping specify the right power solution.

It’s well suited to an established Sales Manager within the Critical Power sector or an Engineer with electrical/hands-on generator experience who wants to transition into an office/home-based position without sacrificing earning potential

• Speak with customers to understand power requirements, site constraints, and operating needs (standby vs prime power)
• Specify the correct diesel generator solution, ensuring it meets technical, operational, and application requirements
• Provide technical support to customers throughout the enquiry and specification process
• Liaise internally to ensure proposed solutions are accurate, compliant, and deliverable
• Attend customer sites occasionally to support surveys, technical discussions, and solution validation

• Electrical technical knowledge and/or hands-on field experience with diesel generators (specifying, installing, commissioning, servicing, or maintaining)
• Confident communicator who can translate customer needs into practical technical solutions
• Ability to recommend the correct standby/prime power configuration based on load profile and operating requirements
• Practical, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
