Mechanical Design Manager - Ballymena - Permanent Join an industry leading engineering company in Ballymena as a Mechanical Design Manager and take a lead role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services solutions across a range of complex projects. About the role:

Up to £75,000 per annum + bonus Monday to Friday 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home Private medical insurance Access to company travel scheme Full time Permanent role What you'll be doing in this role:
Produce and oversee detailed mechanical building services designs including HVAC, ventilation, plant rooms, domestic water, public health, LPHW/CHW, piping, plumbing, medical gases, fire sprinklers, BMS and other related systems. Coordinate mechanical electrical interfaces to ensure fully integrated MEP solutions. Manage MEP consultant design teams, including allocation of BG6/DRM responsibilities, performance tracking and technical mentorship. Assess and document design quality in accordance with BSRIA BG2, BG3 and BG4.

Review Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks models for coordination, buildability and compliance. Prepare technical reports, tender documents, submittals, schedules and engineering assessments. Support early stage cost planning through calculations, load modelling and value engineering. Support FM and project teams with technical expertise. What you'll need for this role:
Experience in mechanical building services design Knowledge of design tools;
Revit experience preferred Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical engineering principles Ability to review drawings, models and specifications Experience across RIBA/BSRIA stages Excellent organisational and time management skills Commercial and programme awareness Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Good knowledge of relevant standards (CIBSE, BSRIA, CDM, Water Regulations, BREEAM, Building Regulations) Riada Resourcing is an equal opportunities employer.
