Your role
* Take overall responsibility for the fundamentals testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for Major Works Testing of substantial Signalling projects. Undertake testing duties within the scope of Certificate of Competency held.
* MUST Hold  and MUST Hold IRSE License
- Tester in Charge and Functional Tester IRSE License 1.3.190 / 1.3.170 or have held in the past few years.
* Identify resource requirements for your projects and competent staff are utilized, ensuring they are briefed regarding their work and responsibilities and that any necessary documentation is completed. Encourage and promote the advancement of staff as a route to self-development. Deputies for the Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Principles).
* Upward briefing of project principles testing status to T&CE and Project team as required. Ensure adherence to the Atkins

Réalis rail standards, procedures, processes covering all engineering, safety, administrative and project requirements. Co-operate with quality, safety, and environmental objectives and contribute where appropriate to Atkins

* Manage Principles testing activities as part of a commissioning of signalling equipment to meet contract specifications, performance and safety parameters.
* Prepare and check bids for accuracy and price for the basics testing portion of signalling projects. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures, and innovations and initiatives.## About you
* Experience in Railway Signalling Testing/Commissioning of any size of Projects. Principles and Functional Tester IRSE License. Thorough and detailed knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook.
* Thorough and detailed knowledge of fundamentals testing requirements.
* Substantial Railway Signalling experience especially in Rules of signalling testing of Computer Based Interlocking schemes. Good knowledge of Railway Group NWR company standards requirements. Good personnel management and communication skills. Able to work under pressure during intense periods of commissioning etc.
* Able to deputies for the Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Principles). Willing to work flexibly and efficiently in support of the project.

Able to contribute to the management team to provide the development and future direction for the testing group.## Reward & benefits
