About The Role
We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Account Director to support and grow our relationships across public sector infrastructure markets. This role focuses on building long‑term partnerships across civil engineering programmes, particularly within highways, coastal and flood defence. It's an opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, understanding their challenges, and helping shape solutions early in the project lifecycle.
Whatyou'll be doing
As Account Director, you’ll act as a trusted partner to key public sector clients, working alongside internal teams to ensure we are well‑positioned from early engagement through to delivery.
You Will- Develop strong, lasting relationships with public sector stakeholders
- Support the identification and development of opportunities across highways and environmental infrastructure
- Contribute to account plans that encourage sustainable growth
- Work closely with pre‑construction, estimating and operational teams
- Maintain awareness of frameworks, pipelines and emerging opportunities
We're seeking someone who understands both the relationship and technical aspects of infrastructure delivery.
You Will Have- Experience in account management, client development or business development within civil engineering
- Exposure to highways, coastal or flood defence programmes
- A good understanding of pre‑construction processes, including early contractor involvement, cost planning, buildability, risk management and framework procurement
- Familiarity with public sector organisations such as National Highways, Environment Agency, or Local Authorities
- Commercial awareness and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
