Make an impact. Swisslog is currently seeking an experienced Senior Solution Designer to design solutions for complex intralogistics customer projects. Our head office in the UK is based in Redditch but this position can be performed from a home office environment with travel to customer sites or the head office when required.

• Autonomously and successfully understand customer requirements and develop solutions for medium to complex projects
• Successfully lead the sales process from a Technical/Solution point of view, understanding customer requirements and opportunities and designing concepts and solutions for medium to complex projects
• Participation in customer meetings, presentations, workshops and other pre‑sale and sales activities.
• Able to analyze complex customer’s business data and processes
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to develop the appropriate intralogistics concepts and solution for medium to complex projects
• Create material flow diagrams, evaluate the proper technology to be used and dimension the subsystems
• Prepare solution layout through 3D tools/CAD
• Prepare budget costing based on standard Budget Tools for medium project complexity
• Act as a leader in front of the customer in terms of solution and technical aspects

What you need to succeed

• Experience in intralogistics solution design
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit
• Familiar with the common solution design standards in logistics
• High level of independence, winning demeanour, assertiveness
• Experienced IT user on common systems (MS Office, CRM & ERP systems)
• Design & Technical background in the material handling industry
• Data analysis skills, Power
  
  BI or SQL knowledge is desirable
