We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Water team based in either Kent or East/West Sussex.

Location:

Southern Water Offices, Chatham ME5 7QA
or offices at Falmer, BN1 9PY
- some remote working is available.

Hours:

Full time 40 hours per week; part-time or condensed hours will be considered. We do not offer certificates of sponsorship for this role. This position is part of a partnership between Southern Water and Kier to deliver their ambitions for AMP 8 Water cycle.

• Manage commercial performance through effective team leadership, contract administration, and risk management.
• Ensure robust cost reporting and forecasting while maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Support junior team members and foster their professional development.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to implement effective procurement strategies.
• Maximise cash flow through diligent measurement, valuation, and financial control procedures.

• Relevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience working with NEC forms of contract and current Construction Law.
• Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative environments while working independently.
