Senior Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team based in Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford. Remote working is available with occasional travel to the office.

Location:

Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford – remote working available.

Hours:

40 per week with flexibility.

• Lead the technical delivery of drainage and water design packages across building, development, transportation, or flood management projects.
• Manage programme, budget, and risk commitments for work packages, escalating issues as needed.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient design delivery.
• Provide line management and mentoring to graduates or apprentices, supporting their technical development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices, standards, and delivery quality.

• Demonstrated experience delivering drainage and water design packages with a high degree of technical autonomy.
• Confidence managing the technical delivery of work packages, including programme awareness, cost control, and proactive risk management.
• Enjoy working collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary teams and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
• Track record of producing high‑quality, compliant engineering outputs in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
