In a nutshell
The Product Developer will be assisting in the design, engineering, and commercialization of high-performance snowboard boots. This role bridges creativity and technical execution, driving product innovation from initial concept through production and market launch
You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, Marketing, Sales, and global manufacturing partners to develop durable, market-relevant, and cost-efficient products that meet the highest standards of performance and quality
This is a year-round role with increased activity during peak winter sales cycles and includes international travel to support manufacturing and testing
Key Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end development process: concept creation, design execution, prototyping, testing, validation, and production follow-up
Create and update detailed technical drawings, engineering documentation, specifications, tool lists, and tech packs (materials, colors, trims, graphics)
Assist in prototype builds and sample reviews, providing timely and structured feedback to factories
Assist in identifying and sourcing advanced materials, while staying up to date on latest technologies in footwear construction
Ensure products are high quality, durable, manufacturable, and cost‑effective
Continuously improve product construction, performance, and user experience while maintaining brand identity
Maintain accurate product data and documentation in line with the seasonal line plan
Assist in maintaining product quality standards and QA specifications
Drive development timelines and ensure key milestones are met
Research market and industry trends to generate innovative concepts and technical solutions
Personally test products on‑snow and in laboratory settings to validate performance and durability
About you
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
1–3 years of product/footwear development experience (internships included)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, plastic injection and footwear construction
Experience creating technical drawings, tech packs, and engineering documentation
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
3D CAD proficiency (Solid Works, Catia, Onshape, Pro Engineer, Rhino or equivalent)
Experienced snowboarder with strong product insight
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
Ability to travel internationally several times per year
No sensitivity to epoxy resins
For the role you will be based at our HQ office in Amsterdam, so you should already have a working permit/visa for Europe
