Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer

The Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for the engineering design and delivery of plumbing, utility, and fire protection systems for industrial and building projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, compliance with codes and standards, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, while providing technical support during construction.

• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems, including hydraulic calculations and simulations.
• Having experience on HVAC system design is an advantage.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, including cost estimation, scheduling, and procurement.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to fire safety.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work effectively with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems into the overall project.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing and fire protection systems.

You will be based in Haskoning's Jakarta office, working in a hybrid environment with flexibility between office and remote work, and providing project site support as required across Indonesia.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design, preferably in consulting or EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, fire fighting systems, hydraulic calculations, and applicable codes and standards.
• Having experience on HVAC system design is an advantage.
• Proficient in relevant engineering and hydraulic calculation software.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
