WOLF Advanced Technology is on the hunt for a full‑time Sr. Engineer, PCB to join our innovative, high‑performance engineering team in Aurora, ON (remote work considered for qualified candidates in Canada or the USA).
Reporting to the VP, Engineering, you’ll play a mission‑critical role in designing and developing cutting‑edge, high‑speed printed circuit boards that power mission‑critical aerospace and defence systems.
In this high‑impact role, you’ll be at the forefront of complex PCB design, collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, reliable, and manufacturable solutions. Responsibilities- Design and develop complex, high‑layer‑count PCBs
:
Create high‑speed, multi‑layer boards (10–18 layers) optimized for aerospace and defence applications - Optimize for performance and manufacturability
:
Select materials, board stack‑ups, and layouts to maximize signal integrity, power distribution, and production efficiency - Drive high‑speed interface excellence
:
Implement controlled impedance routing for PCIe GEN4, DDR4, GDDR6, 100
GbE, Display Port, and 12G‑SDI - Engineer for reliability under extreme conditions
:
Apply EMI/EMC best practices, termination techniques, and crosstalk mitigation to meet mission‑critical standards - Collaborate across disciplines

Work closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and NPI teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness - Mentor and guide
:
Provide technical leadership and peer reviews to strengthen design quality and elevate team capabilities - Leverage advanced tools for precision

Utilize Cadence Allegro (17.4, 22.1, 23.1) to create, maintain, and refine symbol and footprint libraries - Champion DFM/DFA principles

Ensure every design meets manufacturing cost, quality, and scalability requirements

Your EdgeYou hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 5+ years of high‑speed, high‑layer‑count PCB design experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly complex environments. You’ve designed 10–18 layer boards with controlled impedance routing, integrated HDI and rigid‑flex solutions, and placed high pin‑count BGAs while optimizing for both performance and manufacturability.
Your PCB expertise extends to selecting board materials and stack‑ups, running power and signal integrity analysis, and applying EMI/EMC mitigation techniques to ensure designs meet stringent industry standards. You’re fluent in Cadence Allegro (17.4,…
