Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Warrington | Specialist Structural Services Division

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join the rapidly growing specialist structural services division of a well-established £200m civil engineering group.

Originally founded over 40 years ago as a concrete frame contractor, the business has grown into one of the UK’s leading engineering contractors, operating across:

* Structures

* Infrastructure

* Fire Protection

* Specialist Structural Services

The specialist structural services division delivers a wide range of works including:

* Concrete cutting

* Concrete repairs

* Specialist demolition

* Diamond drilling

Currently operating at circa £30m turnover, the division has ambitious plans to grow to £100m by 2030. As part of this expansion, a new office has recently opened near Warrington, complementing the London head office and strengthening the company’s position as a truly national specialist contractor.

Due to increased project activity and a strong pipeline of enquiries, the business is now looking to appoint an Estimator / QS to support the continued growth of the North West operation.

The Role

This position will primarily focus on tender pricing and estimating, while also offering broader exposure across commercial and pre-construction activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in a growing team and should be comfortable taking on a varied workload within a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Preparing and pricing tenders

* Supporting commercial and QS activities

* Assisting with wider pre-construction functions

* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams

About You

Ideally, you'll have:

* A strong civil engineering background

* Experience pricing civil engineering, concrete, or demolition-related works (preferred)

* A degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying

* A stable employment history and a genuine ambition to progress your career

* The ability to commute to the Warrington office

The company also offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work from home 1–2 days per week.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with significant growth plans and long-term career potential. As the division continues to expand, there will be genuine opportunities for progression and professional development alongside the growth of the business itself
