Your work nature:
You will be assigned to work mainly on acoustics consultancy work. The nature of work will involve documentation works, design, construction and post-construction coordination works, attend to project meetings and presentations, construction site visits and field measurements.
Key Responsibilities:Project manage acoustics projects independently with minimal supervision if you are applying for senior position, your responsibilities may include the following:
- Develop customized acoustic and vibration control strategies for new and existing development projects.
- Chair and attend meetings, workshops and presentations with various stakeholders such as multi-disciplinary design teams, contractors, operation, and facilities management teams, etc.
- Conduct data analysis, evaluate and propose recommendations and solutions, prepare technical reports, presentations and documentation for various stakeholders of the project.
- Conduct noise and vibration modelling using Cadna for ACMV, road traffic, railway, construction activities, sound transmission loss, indoor reverberation time, speech intelligibility, etc.
- Conduct acoustics performance measurements, post processing computations and report writing.
- Source for innovative materials, products, evaluate technical specification and cost for recommendation to client.
- Formulate and update tender specifications according to project tender requirements with respect to targeted acoustics performances.
- Prepare and review technical calculations, specifications and drawings for acoustics and vibration control.
- Coordinate project with multidisciplinary consultants, building owners, contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure timely delivery of project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and field measurements for noise and vibration.
- Significant experience with Cadna would be considered favourably.
Working hours:
Officially, our office working hours is from Mondays to Fridays, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
In the light of the changing working arrangement post-pandemic, we do practice hybrid work arrangements, subject to work demand. In another words, we are very work-task performance orientated and hence practice working from home and/or office to do our part in reducing carbon footprint. In any case, our office is located centrally in Toa Payoh which is conveniently located within 500m from Braddell MRT station.
YourTechnical
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science, Building Engineering, Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Performance, Acoustics and Vibration Control.
- At least 2 years of working in construction industry with basic understanding of building systems such as architectural elements, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Candidates with more experience may be considered for senior post.
- Proficient in English speaking, excellent writing and presentation skills.
Possessing the following technical know-how will be added advantage:
- Knowledge of ACMV systems
- Able to operate Cadna
- Experience with Acoustics and Vibration Engineering calculations
