  • Interfacing with other engineering disciplines to ensure human factors principles are adopted throughout design, and human-machine interfaces are optimal.
  • Deriving human-system design, operational and training requirements.
  • Identifying and analysing technical problems or risks, performing theoretical or practical human factors investigations to mitigate or bring to closure.
  • Developing evaluation and test plans, and driving their implementation.
  • Supporting system engineering tasks e.g requirements analysis, decomposition and sell-off.
  • Planning and managing assigned work, reporting status to the Human Factors Lead / Specialist Engineering Manager.

The role will not be authorized to provide services to Lockheed Martin, which are directly related to business development, acquisition, or sales efforts for a Lockheed Martin customer or potential customer. Any exception to this rule can only be granted, in advance, by the Lockheed Martin UK Ltd, Integrated Systems, Havant representative or legal counsel representative.

Contractor / Agency to be responsible for maintaining certifications, accreditations, adequate liability insurance and training required to perform their role.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College and capability typically achieved through around 5-7 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in user interface design and definition, information architecture, usability testing, ergonomics assessment, human factors methodologies, within a consultative, engineering or defence environment.
  • DEF-STAN 00-251 and Technical Guides.
  • ISO 9241.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
  • Experience of Airborne Mission and Surveillance Systems, Maritime and Land domains.
  • Developing Early Human Factors Analysis, RAIDO registers, HF Plans and Assurance Reports.

  • IMO Regulations IEC 60945 and 62388.
