Senior Planning Engineer – Life Sciences (Milan)
Wood is recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer in our Life Sciences division based in Milan (Corsico office). The role offers hybrid working, with the option to work from home up to two days per week. International mobility and availability for assignment are essential.
Role Overview
As part of the Life Sciences Project Control Department, you will provide full planning support to the project management team. The position involves managing large, complex projects with a global reach across Europe and internationally, delivering detailed schedules, progress measurement, interface coordination, and progress reporting.
Responsibilities
Development of detailed schedules in conjunction with the project team
Development of progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity
Coordination of schedule interfaces between clients' and EPC contractors' activities
Regular forecasting of the project schedule including key milestones
Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team, clients and subcontractors
Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering
Proven experience in a similar planning role
Pro‑active problem solving and project execution skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self‑motivated, energetic and tenacious
Willingness to share information and develop junior staff
Fluent in English and Italian
Availability for relocation abroad
Desirable
Previous experience in the Life Sciences industry
