Transmission Line Engineer

Position: Transmission Line Engineer 2 Hybrid Role
Join Sargent and Lundy as a Transmission Line Engineer 2, utilizing your technical expertise in a hybrid setting. Engage in the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines.

In this role, you will design transmission lines between 69kV and 765kV, performing structural analysis of various engineering designs. Candidates should possess a degree in engineering from a recognized program and have at least one year of experience in the field. Proficiency with PLS-CADD and knowledge of transmission line principles are critical, as is strong communication ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze transmission lines and supporting structures

• Conduct conductor selection and shielding studies

• Model lines using PLS-CADD for comprehensive analysis

• Prepare foundation designs and cost estimates

• Ensure compliance through vendor submittal reviews

Requirements:

• Accredited engineering degree required

• At least 1 year in transmission line engineering

• Proficient with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and MS Office

• Knowledge of transmission design standards

• Excellent communication skills for documentation
